In a quiet ceremony attended only
by close family and friends, Sarah Braga was put to rest
in the Paradise Falls’ cemetery last week.
In attendance were Sarah’s father-in-law
Mayor Pete Braga, her son Nick and his fiancée Jessica
Lansing, as well as her best friend Francis Hunter.
The ceremony was presided over by Reverend
Jackson, the minister originally called into town for the
upcoming wedding of Nick and Jessica.
Sarah Braga went missing several weeks
ago. Shortly after the discovery of her blood-stained purse
in the woods a search uncovered her body lying face down
in a creek.
An autopsy in Toronto revealed that Braga
was murdered by strangulation after having been starved
for at least a week.
The family is accepting cash donations,
payable to the Mayor’s office, in memory of Sarah.
