Fenmore’s annual Troutapalooza fishing
festival is geared up to rock the lake this weekend.
Sportsmen and women from around the region
gather each year to test their rods and compete against
each other. Fenmore Fine Fishing is offering a complete
fishing set to the participant who reels in the largest
trout.
Although tourists and residents have
complained that fishing this year is the worst ever in history,
organizers remain optimistic. “It’s gonna be a
good year,” said Ted Williamson, organizer. “A
really good year. You’ll see.”
The event begins early Saturday
morning, wrapping up late Sunday night with the traditional
corn roast, fish fry, and speed gutting competition.
