Longtime Paradise Falls resident Domenic
Bernini was recently laid to rest in the Paradise Falls
Cemetery.
He was found by police four hours after
suffering a massive heart attack by the side of the road.
Bernini was initially reported missing
by his daughter Rose. “He didn’t come home for
Nash Bridges,” said Rose. “He never misses Nash
Bridges. Never.”
A search of his usual haunts: the Marina,
the Legion Hall, the dock, the beach, the bench, and the
Tim Hortons, all came up empty. A routine patrol of the
woods led to the discovery of his body.
The death is being attributed to natural
causes. Bernini had a heart condition for which he was being
medicated. A bottle of heart pills was found next to his
body.
A wake in the family home was organized
by his dutiful daughters, Yvonne and Rose, and was well
attended by Paradise Falls’ residents.
