With the recent sudden departure
of Nick Braga from his grandfather’s home, rumors indicate
that his pending nuptials may be on the rocks.
Nick Braga, who is the grandson of Paradise
Falls Mayor Pete Braga, was due to be married in a few weeks
to Vancouver native Jessica Lansing. The couple recently
arrived in town from Toronto and have been staying at the
Mayor’s palatial home on Main Street.
“Oh I can’t talk about that,”
said Rose Bernini, owner of the Bernini Boutique where Lansing
bought her wedding dress. “I mean, I still have the
dress here, but it’s not for sale to anyone else. I
mean, not yet. Why, did you want it?”
The younger Braga has moved in with Bea
Sutton at her boathouse on the Marina, where he continues
to work on his novel.
Lansing remains a guest in the
Mayor’s home. She is the regional representative of
Breakthrough Beauty Products, Northern Ontario’s fifth
largest direct-to-consumer retailer of cosmetics and toiletries.
