A door-to- door neighbourhood search
has been implemented by the newly formed Paradise Falls
Search Committee in order to locate the whereabouts of Mrs.
Sally Walkers' two cats, named Scabs
and Flaps.
The two cats disappeared from the
Walkers yard two days ago.
Its one thing for one
of them to wander off for a while, said Mrs. Walker,
but for both of them to go away at once? Thats
just not natural.
The cats have no history of being
runaways. They are both neutered, and therefore pose no
danger to other community cats. However, they are also both
declawed, and therefore defenseless against the aggressive
local raccoon and skunk population.
Mrs. Walker doesnt
need to worry, said Jos Yules, chair of the Paradise
Falls Search Committee. Just remember our new committees
motto: 'If its out there, itll turn up.'
Most of the Committees members come from Paradise
Falls vibrant community of retired persons. But younger
members are always welcome. They meet regularly every Tuesday
and Friday at 7:30 pm in the Tim Hortons on Main Street.
