Innocent, I Told You So: Braga

Pete Braga is a free man. Up until last night, the mayor of Paradise Falls was a “guest” in the Paradise Falls Municipal Police jail for the murder of George Mansfield.

Mansfield was discovered on the floor of the Mayor’s office, shot dead with the Mayor’s own pistol. Braga claimed self-defense, but was arrested due to lack of proof.

That proof arrived in the form of a mysterious envelope delivered anonymously to police headquarters. The package contained Mansfield’s gun filled with blank cartridges and bearing Mansfield’s fingerprints.

A gratified Braga walked out of custody a free man, fully exonerated of all charges of wrong-doing.

“What can I say,” said Braga, “I told you I was innocent. When are people going to learn that they can trust Pete Braga?” PFC
