“It’s a great honour to be
chosen as Miss Fantabulous Oktoberfest,” said 32-year-old
Bermbaum. “Ever since I was a little girl I’ve
dreamed about something happening to me, and now it has,”
she beamed.
Fantabulous Oktoberfest continues throughout
the weekend in the usual Beer Haus locations: the Fenmore
Masonic Temple, Knights of Columbus Hall, Elks Meeting Place,
Optimist’s Club Hall, and the Spritz and Vinegar Pub.
Schnitzel and bratwurst are available on every street corner.
Free cans of sauerkraut are being offered
to the first 150 people to approach the stage in front of
the Town Hall on opening night after the keg is tapped.
The Fantabulous Oktoberfest was
first started in Fenmore by German settlers in 1946. PFC
